Mr. Samuelson Remembers (55K) explores the effects of dementia on one family. Stanley Samuelson’s first position after graduating college is with an accounting firm in New York City. He meets his wife at a series of Bach cantatas. The cantatas become an integral part of their life. He’s in the early stages of dementia when she dies. The words and music sustain him. His condition worsens. His children and grandchildren attempt to respect his wish to stay in the family home for two more years and their fiftieth wedding anniversary. And the music plays on.
